Charles Jourdan

Charles Jourdan opened his first shoe store in France in 1919. In 1957 he opened a Paris boutique and was granted a license from the House of Dior in 1959 to exclusively design and manufacture shoes for the couture house. In 1975, ready-to-wear clothing and handbag lines were added and the Charles Jourdan fashion house was known worldwide. His leather accessories are made from natural skins and are elegant and timeless.

Mixed material envelope clutch from the early 1980s by Charles Jourdan. The soft dark brown leather clutch style bag is trimmed in a cognac snakeskin with silver protector plates on corners of front flap. Charles Jourdan logo is cut out of metal protector on the left corner. The bag can be quite roomy and expands to accommodate all of your essentials with soft leather sides. Short shoulder strap is secured by 2 thick silvertone rings and the magnetic closure is hidden below the front flap. Lined in black nylon with one zipper interior pocket. Silvertone designer plaque on interior, in good used vintage condition with some signs of wear on the inside.
