Genny

Genny was founded in 1962 by the entrepreneur Arnaldo Girombelli and started out as a line of handmade skirts and blouses, which were sold only in his boutique in Italy. The brand gained recognition among the elite of Italy and in 1973 a young Gianni Versace took the position as Genny’s head designer. After Versace left, the house of Genny fostered many other talented designers like Claude Montana, Dolce and Gabbana and Christian Lacroix. From the 1960s to today Genny has been able to interpret the changing landscape of fashion by maintaining its basic ideas: extreme femininity, precision in tailoring and high quality products.
