The Kelly Danse is one of the most rare and collectable Hermès bags. Designed by Jean-Paul Gaultier and originally released in 2008, the Kelly Danse was a modern reinterpretation of the iconic Hermès Kelly handbag design. It features a long strap rather than a top handle, in an effort to create a more casual version of the original Kelly bag that could be worn 7 different ways. This Kelly Danse is in the stunning Vert Pelouse (green grass) colour and is crafted from luxuriously soft Hermès Swift leather. Swift leather has the ability to absorb dyes like few other leathers can, while simultaneously reflecting light. This enables colours to appear very bright and rich. Swift leather has a semi-matte, semi-smooth appearance. It has a very fine-grain surface, which makes it especially soft and supple to the touch. Originally known as Gulliver leather, Swift leather was discontinued by Hermès in 1999 and was reintroduced onto to store shelves in 2005. The beautiful Vert Pelouse colour is contrasted perfectly with the palladium hardware. Interior blind stamp dates this bag to 2009. The Kelly Danse was discontinued in 2013, and the Kelly Danse ll was introduced in 2019. Without a doubt, this is the most versatile of all Hermès bags. You can wear it seven different ways: as a crossbody bag, a shoulder bag at two different lengths, around the waist, as a wristlet, a clutch or as a backpack. Excellent vintage condition. Handmade in France. Sold without box or sleeper bag. 22cm x 17cm x 8cm.
Please note: this bag did not come from a smoke free environment. Although we have taken all necessary steps to reduce any residual odour, we cannot guarantee that this piece will be 100% odour free.
