$1,150.00
| /

Beautiful Chanel clip on earrings featuring a large faux pearl with two emerald cut rhinestone drops. Rhinestone drops are incased with quintessentially Chanel quilted gold tone metal. Back brand plaques are stamped collection 23, dating these earrings to 1984, the first year that Karl Largerfeld hired Victoire de Castallane to design the Chanel jewellery. Victoire de Castallane designed most of the very famous and collectable Chanel pieces that are still highly sought after. She designed for Chanel under Karl Lagerfeld from 1984 until 1998, an amazingly creative period. De Castellane introduced a new dating system when she arrived, moving from a specific year to seasons. She began with Season 23, and ended with Season 29, which roughly correspond to the years 1984-1990. Good vintage condition, some wear to pearls - refer to photos. 2.5" long. No box.
