Pink and Purple Tweed Ensemble
A glorious Chanel Haute Couture jacket and dress from the 1960s. Crafted from beautiful pink, purple and cream tweed with thin black trim. Collarless jacket with a single patch pocket at the waist on the right side when wearing. Lovely abstract painted matching pink and purple buttons. The jacket fastens just slightly off centre. Creamy beige silk lining with the iconic Chanel Couture gold chain at interior trim. Matching under dress with cream silk bodice and tweed skirt. The bodice, meant to be hidden under the jacket features a raised diagonal lines that create a diamond design. There is a metal zipper at the centre back of skirt, with large hook and eyes at the waist and hidden buttons up the back. The tweed skirt is faux wrap style with a slit for freedom when walking. Haute couture label with couture code (bolduc) on the back. Handmade in France. Very good overall vintage condition - there is some shattering to the silk fabric at the right underarm of the sleeveless top when wearing.
