35cm Noir Togo Kelly with Gold Hardware
Hermes 35cm Kelly bag. Noir in Togo pebbled leather, with 18k gold plated hardware. Dates from 2018 as shown by the C at the beginning of the interior blind stamp. Hermes Togo leather holds its shape well and has good scratch resistance. The 18k gold hardware on this bag is bright and warm, contrasting perfectly against the black leather. Long removable shoulder strap with lobster claw clasp, lock and clochette. Excellent unused condition - very, very light surface scratching to hardware. A classic and timeless bag and color. Sold without original sleeper bag or box.
First designed in 1932, the Kelly was introduced as a travel bag that was referred to as the sac à dépêches. It was then renamed to the Kelly after actress Grace Kelly was photographed numerous times with the bag (most notably, while she was pregnant and using it to cover her baby bump). The impeccable craftsmanship, classic silhouette, scarcity, and unique history make the Kelly a must-have for any handbag collector. It can take a single Hermès craftsman up to 18 hours to construct each Kelly.
