Claude Montana

The creator of the aggressive Power Suit of the 1980s, Claude Montana was highly influenced by the leather clad punk rockers he observed in London in the 1970s. He paired jackets with broad shoulders, narrow waists and huge shawl collared with tight pencil skirts or tapered pants and high heels. Originally working mostly with black leather, Montana branched out to use color and most notably, white leather with gold embroidery.
