Leonard
The French textile firm of Jacques Leonard opened in the 1950s but it wasn't until 1958 that the company decided to expand into clothing. Daniel Tribouillard became the head designer of Leonard Fashion and transformed the company with his innovative collections. In 1960, Tribouillard introduced the first pullovers with print designs and employed a unique new printing process which received an international patent. Best known for brightly colored printed clothing, Leonard is often compared to Pucci as they started producing printed silk jerseys for their collections around the same time.
