Guy Laroche

Guy Laroche began as a milliner in Paris and New York before he apprenticed under couturier Jean Dessès. In 1957, he opened his own couture house, with the first show being staged in his own apartment and in 1960 he added a ready-to-wear boutique label. Laroche was known as a masterful cutter and tailor and his fashions are characterized by simple cuts and mostly delicate, though occasionally bold, colors. The height of his popularity was in the 1960s when he dressed many of France's high society.

Beautiful Guy Laroche woven wool boucle skirt suit from the 1960’s. The jacket has a pointed collar and four patch pockets on the front. The skirt zips up on the back left hip. In excellent condition, fits like a US 4. Great pieces worn together or separately.

1960’s Guy LaRoche red, pink, orange and blue rayon tweed short sleeved skirt suit. The jacket features a fully adjustable belt at the waist with pewter metal buttons down the front. Skirt has an inverted pleat on the front and back and two banded side pockets. In very good vintage condition. Fits like a US size 4.
