Jacques Heim

French fashion and costume designer for theater and film, Jacques Heim was also a well known Fourier who started out working for his family's fur business which he took over in 1923. After adding a couture department, Heim designed dresses and coats, made with original fabrics and in 1930 the workshop became The House of Jacques Heim. Heim designed a ready-to-wear line and even pioneered the two piece bathing suit which he introduced in 1946 and called The Atome.
