Lanvin was started by Jeanne Lanvin in 1909 and the House of Lanvin was one of the most influential Parisian fashion houses throughout the 1920s and 1930s. Antonio Castillo was known as one of the most promising designer to emerge after WWII and became the head women's wear designer at the House of Lanvin from 1950 to 1963. The House of Lanvin-Castillo was known for elegant clothes, slender lines, long flowing skirts in rich fabrics, and elaborate embroideries.
