Adolfo red wool knit skirt suit from the 1980s. Double breasted jacket is collarless with gold tone clover buttons and four patch pockets. Optional belt can be worn at waist of jacket. Skirt is classic high waisted with a very slight a line shape. Centre panel is trimmed with the oversized whip stitch that is used for the trim throughout. Good vintage condition. Small signs of wear: some pulling on right sleeve, a very faint stain on the front of the skirt and wear to gold belt buckle. Fits like a US size 4. So versatile, the jacket works as a cozy cardigan over a variety of bottoms from jeans to wool trousers. Dry cleaned and ready to wear. For those with a good memory this is a classic Adolfo in Nancy Reagan red!
