Chloe
Chloé was started in France in 1952 by Jacques Lenoir and Gaby Aghion. Rejecting the stiff formality of 1950s fashion, Gaby's collections were best known for their simple, fluid and elegant lingerie style pieces in pastel colors. Calling her designs 'luxury pret-a-porter', Gaby created a line of off the rack, high quality body conscious clothing from fine fabrics, a precursor to the ready-to-wear collections that were soon to follow from other great fashion houses. Karl Lagerfeld designed for them from 1965 to 1983.
