Christian Dior London 1960's black and white houndstooth wool dress and jacket ensemble. The era of Miss Dior was launched in the late 1950's and the iconic black and white houndstooth was incorporated in the clothing, handbags and the perfume bottles and packaging. This set includes a 3/4 cuffed sleeve dress with 10 leather buttons, a with fitted waist, soft gathers and a self tie fringed necktie. Fully lined in silk with weighted coins sewn into the hem to maintain the perfect drop. Matching lined jacket drapes gently around the neckline with a single black leather button and two pockets. There is some distress to the back of the jacket with several signs of minor pulling to the wool fibre resulting in some visible black dots. There are also some very tiny signs of wear to the textile on the right arm seam and the front plaquet of the dress. These may be as a result of some moth damage but its hard to determine. Please review all the photos. Made in England for Christian Dior London. Serial number 7509. Size is close to  US 4-6. Dry cleaned and otherwise excellent vintage condition.
