Cut from luscious thick black silk, this gown features 1/2" thick straps with a very slight v neckline and an empire waist. The bust has beautiful seam work with darting. The skirt gently skims of the body, cascading into a very slight a line shape to the floor. The skirt has beautiful movement when you move from the shape of the skirt and weight of the fabric. Low back with 16 black silk covered buttons with loops, no zipper. Black silk lining. Handmade in France. There is no extra fabric at the hem to be let down. Excellent vintage condition - only sign of wear is a bit of fraying to the fabric on the top button at the back. A piece of Chanel history that still has stood the teat of time, still looking elevated and modern. Fits like a US size 4.
