Couture James Galanos black silk chiffon and rhinestone slip style gown. Provenance from a well known 1960's celebrity singer. Very gently worn with only minimal, hard to detect bead loss. Chiffon in excellent condition. The label is Galanos for Amelia Gray of Beverly Hills, the ladies high-end dress shop that helped Galanos launch his legendary west coast career with his first collection of seven pieces. He designed for the "toast of the town" from Rosalind Russell to Nancy Reagan and Diana Ross and this museum quality gown is worthy investment for any collector.
