Navy Bouclé Suit Trimmed in Burgundy
1970's Chanel Creations Paris navy double breasted bouclé suit trimmed with matching braid and burgundy piping. The last versions of Coco Chanels suite were produced during the era from 1971 after she died until the beginning of the Lagerfeld era. All the classic features remained visible and the workmanship was reminiscent of the haute couture pieces, hand sewing and luxurious fabrics. Raised collar on the jacket complimented by 8 matching navy resin buttons with gilt metal lions head motif, symbolic of Chanel and used often on their couture pieces. Lined in burgundy satin with the classic chain sewn into the bottom of the hem to ensure the jacket always sat properly. Straight skirt with waistband. In excellent vintage condition with no unusual signs of wear or deterioration to the fabric. Size 6 US. Dry cleaned and ready for fall 2026.
