1970s Emanuel Ungaro blouse and skirt ensemble. Blouse features horizontal stripes in beige, brown, black and orange, bishop sleeves and a thin pussy bow tie . The skirt features the same colour story with a distorted horizontal stripe. Skirt is high waisted with inverted box pleats. A beautiful fall colour palette. The colours and print are very mid century modern. Can be worn together or separately - the ensemble would look amazing with brown leather boots. Excellent vintage condition, fits like a US size 4.

Ungaro

Emanuel Ungaro trained at the Houses of Balenciaga and Courreges before starting his own couture house in 1965. He developed his own style which was based on a mix of bold patterns and colors - flowers on checks or stripes with large polka dots - with a touch of sexiness, especially in his dresses and suits. This unique style won him a loyal clientele and over time, he became more renowned as a colorist, using softer, more fluid fabrics and layered garments as well as playing with flamenco inspired silhouettes. Ungaro Parallele, his pret-a-porter line was created in 1968 and his house was run independently until 1996 when the Ferregamo Group took over.
