1970s Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche navy blue wool day dress. Mock turtleneck collar, long sleeves with small gather at cuff and single patch left breast pocket. Three large gold tone buttons on left shoulder. Fitted at waist and straight skirt with inverted pleats. Modest size shoulder pads. Monochromatic navy top stitching. Excellent vintage condition. Marked FR size 36 - fits like a US size 4.

Fashion phenome who replaced the venerated Christian Dior when he passed in 1957. The youngest designer to run a couture fashion house and take it from the old school to the cutting edge of pret-a-porter.
