Black, Red, and Blue “Napoléon” Silk Scarf
A highly collectible Hermès design created in 1963 by Philippe Ledoux, the “Napoléon” carré presents a richly detailed historical composition of Napoleon’s military regalia, uniforms, swords, medals and equestrian scenes, framed by laurel wreaths. Tiny gold bees appear throughout the design. The striking palette combines vivid red, blue, gold and ivory with a blackened-green border. Signed by artist in bottom right corner. Hermes tag on interior bottom left corner. 100% silk, made in France. Dry-cleaned. In excellent vintage condition.
